The Bayerishe Motoren Werken are celebrating their first century today. Well, it seems that hundred years were enough for lot of obstacles, challenges and even more great cars.
BMW was founded in 1916 in Munich, Germany. The business was opened with the production of aircraft engines which is the source for the blue white propeller we are witnessing on BMW logo. After WWI the company was forced to abandon this direction and focused on cars. So the first BMW appeared to be a licensed production of Austin 7, marketed as Dixie.
We are not going to give you a brief on BMW history. Our team preferred to share with you a photo gallery dedicated to BMW centenary. They are pieces of huge mosaic of cars, motorcycles and even planes. They are what makes BMW the brand we love today.
