Many fans believe BMW E30 is the finest BMW car ever. There is a significant group of E30's enthusiasts in the automobile scene worldwide. The car's classic lines and proportions, the ergonomic interior and honest handling make the vehicle the “ultimate driving machine”. The second edition of the now legendary 3-series has a special place in our hearts and so does this sleek BMW E30 art print by Dziugas Valancauscas.

A timeless design and a sleek BMW E30 art

BMW E30 is the replacement of the successful E21, which is the epitome of the compact sports sedans. E21 sets high expectations but BMW E30 is an overachiever. Its production cycle lasts for 12 years while the average span for other cars is about seven years.

During this time, E30 presents itself as the first-ever BMW`s station wagon, and 325iX becomes the first-ever all-wheel-drive model. E30 M3 is undoubtedly the most popular M car ever. Its successful racing career in various championships wins the vehicle passionate fans all over the world.

A high-revving 4-cylinder engine powers the iconic M3 but BMW E30 325i relies on a smooth 6-cylinder M20B capable of 168 hp. It is good enough for 0 – 100 acceleration of 8.3 s and a max speed of 217 km/h. If you need a classy BMW E30, this is a top choice.

BMW E30 Print ad for a 6-cylinder model

E30 goes out of fashion in 1987 when the 325i and 325is models appear. They abandon the "eta" reduced-rev/high-fuel-mileage engine concept and gain popularity with the introduction of the 325iC convertible. This is the first pure convertible offered in the 3 Series.

"The 325is is the first genuinely sporting BMW to reach our shores since the 2002tii went out of production in 1975," wrote Car and Driver after testing the '87 325is.

Džiugas Valančauskas

It was 1996. She, a BMW E30 M3, stood provocatively in the street near my block of flats. My first love, she opened my eyes and ripped my heart apart. I could only stand and stare. Touching her was forbidden.

From that moment on, the BMW 3-series coupe became a hole in my heart which I knew I would have to one day fill. When, after many years of searching, I found my own BMW E30 325i coupe, I was as happy as a child again. I could sit for hours and breathe in the combined aroma of upholstery, grease and petrol. Every classic car has that same smell, but each one is a little different. Out of this love was born my art - classic cars drawn while breathing in their smell.
