“This was the car that summed up Ferrari`s philosophy best: the highest levels of performance and styling”. This is how the brand from Maranello feels 250 GTO within its history. A team led by Giotto Bizzarrini created the car. He and his crewmembers were fired in a single day due to the erupting temper of Enzo Ferrari. But they already created their masterpiece and left their impact on a car which would be the final evolution of the Ferrari 250 GT series in a competition form.

A significant part of the 250 GTO legend is consisted by its successful competition career. In 1962 it was the only one front engine monoposto racer, while the rest of the competitors threw vehicles with mid-engine configuration. Just 36 of them were produced and they were probably the last dual purpose cars that were good enough on both road and track.

The body of Ferrari 250 GTO was designed and built by Scaglietti and changed very little during the 2-years production period. The last three cars received bodies designed by Pininfarina. The 3-liter V12 Colombo engine was fed by six, twin choke Weber carburetors, good enough for 300 hp.

Today, Ferrari 250 GTO is undoubtedly rated as the most expensive car ever, holding the record with $70M. Its rarity, combined with a racing pedigree and exquisite design is what turns 250 GTO into a legend. We are more than happy to share with you this brilliant Ferrari 250 GTO art print, beautifully created by Łukasz Myszynski and carefully issued by Simply Petrol.
