Lancia Stratos HF has one of the most touching automotive stories. It all began with Bertone`s ambition to work with Lancia, traditionally ordering their designs to Pininfarina. So after Lancia Fulvia got old, Bertone created a stunning mid-engine sports car prototype called Startos Zero. He used the running gear of Fulvia, borrowed from a friend of his. When he showed up at the factory gates with the Stratos Zero he passed underneath the barrier and got great applause from the Lancia workers.
Surely, after that Lancia and Bertone started cooperating. The production Stratos model had little in common with the concept beyond its mid-engine layout. It was designed by Marcello Gandini who already penned superb designs like Lamborghini Miura and Countach. The Stratos was very successful rally car winning World Rally Championship titles in 1974, 75 and 76. And it will remain iconic with its Martini livery.
Now you can own this beautiful Lancia Stratos rally car art work, created by Petr Pereshivailov as superb art print produced by Simply Petrol.
