This beautiful artwork shines with the unique face of the Mercedes SL-Klasse, nicknamed Pagoda. It was created as replacement of the legendary 300 SL and its smaller brother 190 SL. The Pagoda was designed by Paul Braq and Bela Barenyi and it was typical over engineered Mercedes Benz. The short but wide chassis, combined with excellent suspension, powerful brakes and radial tires gave the W113 superb handling for its time. Mercedes-Benz chief engineer Rudolf Uhlenhaut drove the 230 SL on a test track in 1963 and clocked lap for 47.5 seconds, just 0.2 seconds slower than Ferrari 250 GT, equipped with V12 engine, driven by GP pilot Mike Parkers. This car made history by being first in the safety game with its ‘safety body’ with impact absorbing zones. The Mercedes-Benz Pagoda is also among the cars that shaped the tree point star as outstanding automotive brand. And it is one of the eternal gentleman`s cars of all the time. Now you can own this beautiful Mercedes Benz W113 Pagoda as artsy poster print, created by our own George Panchev.
