Among all 911 models created throughout the years, this one is the most noticeable. Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS is the inspiration behind this dynamic art print by Jochen Paesen. The artist captures the purebred sports car from the position you are most likely to see it – from behind.

This Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS art is about a sports icon

As many automotive sports icons, this one is also created for homologation purposes. Porsche builds just 1580 cars of this model and 49 more with the bigger 3.0 engine. Compared to the standard 911S, this modification has a larger engine, developing 210 hp, Bosch mechanical fuel injection, stiffened suspension, larger brakes accompanied by larger rear wheels and fenders. On top of this is the legendary ducktail.

1972 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS blueprint car dimensions and original specs

Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera weighs 1075 kg in its RS version, while the Sports Lightweight is about 100 kilos lighter. The thin front bucket seats have almost no padding. The door panels are flat and plain, with a pull cord instead of an inside door handle. There is no clock or even a passenger's sun visor.

That makes the car fast even by the current standards. It is no surprise that these days, this particular Porsche obtains a cult status among Porsche fans. Well-deserved, we`d say.

Built for just two model years, 1974 and 1975 Porsche 911 2.7 Carrera RS is available in different colours but lime green and tangerine make it famous. This art print credits the green shade, even though it represents the car in its classic Grand-Prix white colour. In this case, the sticker applications could be in blue, green or red.
