Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto is the very last design project of Batista Pininfarina himself. The small Italian convertible debuts at Geneve Motor Show in 1966, just a month before Pininfarina's tragic passing. This is the moment when the automotive world loses a brilliant talent. This Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto photo art print by artist David Pisani celebrates the design genius behind Pininfarina's huge success.

Alfa Romeo ceases the production of Spider Duetto in the early '90s. There are just a few cars that keep their design unchanged for more than a decade, to say nothing of 30 years.

British actress Jennifer Saunders recently shares in front of Top Gear that her first car is a Spider Duetto. “When I saw it I asked if it’s for sale. The price was 2K and I had exactly 2K, not a penny more. And I bought it.” We do understand why someone would spend their last money on a beautiful Alfa Romeo designed by Batista Pininfarina. We would too.

Thanks to its marvellous DOHC Alfa engine and perfect handling, the Duetto is a truly fine car. It just outperforms its British and American contenders from thе time. Precise steering, solid grip and a constant smile on the driver`s face. This is what Spider Duetto is all about.

You can order now your Alfa Romeo Spider Duetto photo art print by David Pisani at Simply Petrol marketplace.
